the hinged lid gently convex, covered in panels of wrought iron embossed with gothic tracery, the sides en suite, applied with four rings, the front with double hasp of architectural shape, the lock secured by exterior buttresses, one replaced, blackened and painted, the carcass of oak and lined on the inside with green coloured paper
