centred by an applied figure of Saint George on horseback spearing the Dragon, the background gilt, engraved with arms of the city of Courtrai and foliate scrolls, the reverse of silver and embossed with the Virgin Mary amidst children and rulers, both secular and ecclesiastic, struck with four pseudo marks on the outside
