each painted in polychrome and centred by animals and huntsmen, including a fox, a dromedary, dogs and a lion with his paw resting on an orange globe, within an orange lined medallion, with quarter rosette corner motif

Catalogue Note
Most of the animals depicted on these kind of tiles are inspired by contemporary prints of hunting scenes. These tiles are usually referred to as 'Jacht' or 'springetjes', as most of the animals are depicted whilst jumping.
