Wolfgang Köpp von Felsenthal (1738-1807), was the son of the painter and architect Christian Köpp.
Two other signed examples by this maker are in the Museum of Budapest for Decorative Arts and important works can be seen in the collections of the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
