A large Societa Ceramica Italiana, Laveno pottery vase, circa 1950 covered in a micro-chrystalline green glaze, printed mark and indistinct date, a Ginori vase covered in a lilac coloured glaze, printed San Cristoforo mark, painted 1113, and a stoneware vase modelled as an owl by E. D’Hossche, (B. 1912) signed and dated underneath E. D'Hossche 29.II.60.

Catalogue Note
Ernest D'Hossche, born in 1912 of a Flemish father and Walloon mother, he joined the Bosch Frères firm as an apprentice under the tutelage of Charles Catteau. In the 1950’s he became artistic adviser for the firm as well as supervising workshops at the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs de la Louvière. He died in 1976.
