The offered lot is a copy after an important model formerly in the collection of Percival D. Griffiths at Sandridgebury and is illustrated by R. W. Symonds, English Furniture from Charles II to George II, London, 1929, pl. 63. fig. 34. Griffith's table was sold as part of The Baum Collection, Sotheby's New York, 22nd october 2004, lot 419.
