  • 93cm. high, 58cm.wide, 37cm. deep; 3ft.½in., 1ft. 10¾in., 1ft 2½in.
on a later stand, the flap enclosing a fitted interior of a central cupboard, four drawers, two secret drawers and pigeonholes above a drawer fitted with small compartments, some with lids and with two brushes,  with a folding slide below, with a label `This desk belonged to Marianne Layton Browne (1815-1905) of Shenfield, Essex and was given to Heather Ash by her Aunt Madeline McLeod'.
