Philip Jean 1755-1802

Philip Jean (1755-1802) was born in St. Ouen, Jersey. Having started his early career in the Navy he subsequently became a painter and went onto exhibit at the Royal Academy from 1787-1802. It is here that he caught the attention of his most important patrons, the British Royal Family.
