Catalogue Note
Sir William Fowle Middleton, Bt. was the son of Sir William Middleton, and his wife, Harriet Acton (see lot 287). In 1825 he married The Hon. Anne Cust, who was the daughter of Sir Brownlow Cust, 1st Baron Brownlow of Belton, and his wife, Frances Bankes. The present works derive from the miniatures by Sir William Charles Ross (see lot 958)
