A red and gilt japanned longcase clock, English, 18th century

12-inch engraved brass dial with seconds dial, calendar sector, engraved flower decoration at the centre and the corners, the arch signed Green Bridport and inset with a painted scene of figures on a waterfront, eight day rack and bell striking movement, the case with flat top moulded cornice and hood pilasters, the trunk with a rectangular door inset with a lenticle, the whole decorated with gilt Chinoiseries on a red ground, movement circa 1785, case circa 1730
