An ebony veneered table clock, Jerimie Gregory, circa 1675 with later alteration

later 7-inch painted dial with calendar aperture, five pillar fusee movement signed Jerimie Gregory, at the Royal Exchange London in a drapery cartouche on the tulip engraved backplate, exposed set up ratchets, lacking countwheel, all strike work removed, escapement changed the case with shallow domed cresting, carrying handle, ball finials and applied with a fruit and leaf mount, the corners with spiral columns and gilt Corinthian capitals, raised on bun feet.
