Description

comprising of a yellow silk ground embroidered ladies coat, with large buttons and ties, with later zip, probably Tétouan (approx. 126cm. long); a Bokhara kaftan, mid 19th century, yellow and green striped silk, long sleeves  (approx. 138cm. long); a Turkman Tekke Chirpy (ladies coat), circa 1870, black ground with burgundy and yellow decoration on sleeves, collar and side slits, with Russian chintz of roses on red ground (approx. 100cm. long); a Turkman (male coat), late 19th century, with royal blue ground and table braid around collar and opening, pockets and side slits, with silk black and green dot lining (approx. 112cm. long); a long sleeved brush cotton winter jacket, with large flowers on a red ground, with embroidered and metal-thread applied bands around sleeves and down the front (approx. 57cm. long);together with metal on black felt collar and neck appliqué sections to add to clothing (Qty 5)
