Catalogue Note

Caistor Castle is one of the four chief castles of Norfolk.  It is said to have been built by Sir John Fastolfe c.1432.  Fastolfe served in the 100 Years War under Henry V and Henry VI and he was later parodied in the works of Shakespeare.
