Catalogue Note
Alexander Rodchenko was an avant-garde artist and photographer whose work was mostly appreciated posthumously. This work produced for Dobrolet Airlines, Aeroflot's precursors, helped to fund his more experimental projects. He designed several items including: posters, decorations, badges and cufflinks, and admired flying but purportedly never set foot on an aeroplane.
