Catalogue Note

the only known copy of an edition destroyed by the censors. The "Okhnis" group, which comprised V. Aver’ianov, E. Tashkovich and M.A. Zenkevich, considered Kazimir Malevich as their main inspiration and mentor. They had their roots in agit-prop projects in Saratov in the years following the Bolshevik Revolution. The present work, whose title refers to the teacher-pupil relationship, is a good example of what was happening on the periphery of the Avant-Garde movement.
