first editions. Mikhail Kuzmin (1872-1936) was a Symbolist poet, playwright and writer of prose, associated with the Acemism movement of poets, which also included Anna Akhmatova, Nikolai Gumilyov and Osip Mandelstam. Kuzmin was also the author of the first Russian homosexual novel, Kryl'ya [Wings], published in 1906.
