....The family of Soviet cosmonauts has expanded.  The world followed with bated breath the flight of the first female cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, in spaceship "Vostok-6". The Soviet cosmonaut Valery Bykovsky went up into space as a Komsomol member and came back down to earth as a member of the many million-strong army of Communists...

This article was written for Komsomolskaya Pravda (the Communist Youth newspaper).  The editor remarks in the margin that the last two sentences quoted above should be reversed; i.e. that Bykovsky's achievement should precede Tereshkova's.
