The photograph offered here was selected by Sarah Greenough, Director of Photographs at the National Gallery of Art, for the National Gallery's retrospective of André Kertész’s work in 2005.  The print has been in the collection of Susan Harder since the 1970s.  Harder was the exclusive agent for Kertész’s work from 1976 until the photographer’s death in 1985.
