Catalogue Note

The only surviving contemporary portrait of Sigismund is by Pisanello and is in Vienna, Kunsthistorisches Museum.  As well as being Holy Roman Emperor from 1410 until his death in 1437 Sigismund was also King of Poland and Hungary, King of Germany and King of Bohemia.
