Catalogue Note
The sitter was the daughter of Bernard D'Ewes of Wellesbourne, Warwickshire. She married George Frederick Stratton of Tew Park, Oxfordshire in 1805. Her brother, Court D'Ewes, assumed the name and arms of Granville in 1826.
