Follower of Giovanni Antonio Canal, called Canaletto

The view looks from the south-west corner of the courtyard towards the Scala dei Giganti and beyond this, three of the four domes of San Marco. To the right in the bright sunshine is the façade of the east wing of the Palace. A similar view, also from the school or following of Canaletto, is in the John G. Johnson collection, Philadelphia (inv. no. 293).
