Catalogue Note

Several other versions of this composition exist, such as the large canvas (170 x 212 cm.) which was recorded in a private collection, Stockholm in 1952 (see under Literature below), and another more elaborate composition by Jordaens in the Gemäldegalerie, Dresden (inv. no. 1041).
