Etching, 1644, a very good impression of the second state (of three), printing with platetone, with partial thread margin below, trimmed on or just within the platemark elsewhere, small repaired tears, thin areas and horizontal folds; Rembrandt Harmensz. van Rijn, st. jerome in a dark chamber (b., holl. 105; H. 201; BB. 42-e), a fairly good impression of the second (final) state, with thread margins at left and top, trimmed on or just within the platemark elsewhere, thin areas at centre of image, otherwise in good condition
