Etching with engraving, before 1632, a fine impression of the third state (of six), M.-H. second state (of seven), before all letters, with delicate tone, on paper with an Interlaced C's and Crown watermark (close to Mauquoy-Hendrickx 1), with narrow margins, faint horizontal crease at centre and lower part of sheet, a small rubbed area in centre of coat, otherwise in good condition 

Catalogue Note

Mauquoy-Hendrickx lists only two known impressions of the first state (one in the Rothschild collection, Louvre, and one in the British Museum).

With an old inscription in brown ink (probably contemporary) in the blank space below 'Adamus van Noort - Antwerpiae Pictor Iconum - Ant. van Dyck fe. aqua forti'
