bears number 289 and extensive inscription in pen and brown ink describing the medicinal uses of the plant
watercolour over traces of black chalk

Catalogue Note

Although this drawing is not on a typical Cassiano dal Pozzo mount, the remains of the framing line suggest that it may once have been, and the numbering is very similar to that seen on various botanical drawings originating from that collection, such as the following lot.
