Catalogue Note

This drawing, which has the characteristics of late 16th century Roman draughtsmanship, is also reminiscent of the fresco decorations of Perino del Vaga and others. The Amsterdam catalogue note says that John Gere suggested the attribution to Marco Marchetti.
