• four figure studies: a woman sweeping steps; a seated man using a hammer whilst smoking a pipe, a woman attaching a pail to a yoke resting on her shoulders, and a woman bending to the right, seen from behind

• one bears an attribution in brown ink, lower left: Jean Miel;
  each black chalk heightened with white chalk, two with touches of grey wash; three on blue paper, one on paper washed grey/blue
