Catalogue Note

The table that was lost in the fire was made of American black walnut, and this replacement has a much more dramatically grained top. The base is one of Mira's first variations on her father's design. She titled it "Arlyn III," and it is unique to this table.

According to Scott Wineland, a wood supplier to the Nakashima studios, this piece came from near the rural Nelson, CA, train station.
