- [cuttings dated c.1758-1822], 4 volumes, 4to (285 x 215mm.), approximately 640 pages, each with a double column of newspaper cuttings pasted in, usually 2-5 cuttings to a page, many annoted in ink with the year, contemporary boards, bindings worn
Each volume bears a Middle Hill shelfmark. The contents are as follows:
XIII.a.8 - indistinctly lettered on spine ''American War of Independence 1768 to 1775... vol.1''. Contains a roughly chronological collection for these years.
XIII.a.9 - lettered on spine ''Collections relating to the American War 1758 to 1808 vol.2''. Chronological for 1758-64, then 1794-96 and 1801-09.
XIII.b.1 - lettered on spine ''N. America 1776 vol.1''. The first half of the volume is devoted to 1776-77 (though more so the latter), the second half 1779-83.
XIII.b.3 - [lacks spine]. Over half devoted to 1809-22, a quarter to 1777-78, the remainder various years (including earlier).
