Catalogue Note

There is a certain amount of confusion surrounding the plates in works by Coronelli because they were added, removed and changed as Coronelli chose; he also used the same series of plates in different combinations which he dedicated to various important political figures in Venice. The four single plates depict Coron, Forte Torreta, Porto di Cerigo and Dardanelli di Lepanto.
