Henry Moore fl.1890-1895

The artist of this fine painting is likely to be Henry Moore of Hull, a marine artist, recorded in 1895 as living at 15 Marlborough Terrace.  A Festival of Britain exhibition at the Ferens Art Gallery in 1951 contained a work by this artist   The catalogue described much of his work as deriving from Henry Redmore's seascapes, and the legacy of Henry Redmore is clearly apparent in this painting.
