Diamond, emerald and ruby Lion's-head pendant, Van Cleef & Arpels, New York

Designed as a pair of diamond-set lion heads with eyes of pear-shaped emeralds, the base decorated with a floret centering an emerald-cut emerald flanked by round rubies, the whole set with 284 round diamonds weighing approximately 16.00 carats, mounted in 18 karat gold, suspended from a gold chain, pendant signed V.C.A., numbered N.Y. 41767.
