Black velvet evening purse with diamond and onyx clasp, circa 1925

The satin-lined velvet purse decorated with a clasp of quatrefoil shape set with a cushion-shaped diamond of approximately 2.95 carats, within an onyx panel, quartered by lobed segments of onyx and old-mine diamonds, the corners with 4 square-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum and 18 karat white gold, maker's mark and assay mark.
