Diamond, sapphire and ruby bangle-bracelet, circa 1880

The hinged bangle decorated on the front with a pair of stylized  serpents entwined in a knot motif, their heads set with a pear-shaped sapphire and a pear-shaped ruby, each weighing approximately 1.75 carats, centering an old European-cut diamond weighing approximately 1.50 carats, completed by numerous smaller old European-cut and old-mine diamonds weighing approximately 6.25 carats, mounted in gold and silver, 1 small diamond missing.
