Art Deco 18 Karat Gold, Enamel, Lapis and Glass Bead Purse, Van Cleef & Arpels, Paris, circa 1925

Composed of small white glass beads strung in a lace-like pattern, the gold frame decorated on the front with an abstract floral motif in  blue, green and black enamel, accented further with small rose-cut diamonds, completed by a cabochon lapis thumbpiece and a cord handle, the interior of ivory silk constructed with two pockets containing mirrors, silk faintly stamped Van Cleef & Arpels, French assay marks on frame.
