Gold and Diamond "Bird Nest" Brooch, Van Cleef & Arpels, circa 1950

Designed as two birds perched on a woven gold nest filled with three eggs, their feathers set with small old European-cut and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 2.50 carats, their eyes set with round cabochon rubies, mounted in platinum and gold, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered 57773, 1 diamond missing.
