Art Deco 18 Karat Gold, Enamel and Diamond Vanity Case, Lacloche Frères, Paris, circa 1925

The hinged rectangular case applied all over in red and black enamel, the cover decorated with a landscape in Chinese taste, enhanced with a rose-cut diamond shou symbol, the sides and thumbpiece set with rose-cut diamonds, opening to reveal a fitted mirror and two covered compartments, 3¾ by 1 7/8 inches, signed Lacloche Frère, Paris, assay mark.
