Designed to the centre as entwined ribbons surmounted by a coronet flanked by a boar's head, the crest of the Argyll's to the left, and a cat, the badge of the Sutherland's to the right, resting on a ribbon decorated with blue enamel bearing the inscription "Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders", set throughout with single-cut diamonds.
