The graceful figure of the Buddha standing on a plinth, its face carved with a stylized floral motif. The Buddha’s posture is slightly flexed by his bent left knee. His sanghati is draped over his shoulders, its symmetrical pleats falling in parallel curves down to his ankles.

Compare the fine treatment of the drapery, the subtle delineation of the musculature beneath the garment folds and the very similar decoration of the base with a standing Buddha sculpture in the Peshawar Museum, see Kurita, 2003, vol. II, no. 222.
