Catalogue Note

The artist skillfully captures the drama of the batttlefield and the ferocity of the struggle as demons and monkeys with their arsenal of weapons clash against each other. The humanoid depiction of the monkeys clad in striped drawers with cap-like heads is also seen in paintings from Basholi and Bilaspur.
