Catalogue Note
Albert and Marcelle Marquet settled in Sidi-bou-Saïd in March of 1923. The lovely vistas and fields of flowers greatly inspired Marquet. The paintings created during the early Spring were brought back to Paris by Marquet at the end of May and registered on June 9 at the Galerie Druet and on June 12 at the Galerie Bernheim-Jeune.
