Condition
The sheet is laid down on canvas. Paper losses at lower left and right edges. A 1 in. horizontal tear 10 inches below the upper left hand corner and a 1 in. tear in the upper right hand corner, both visible in the catalogue illustration; a 1½ in. tear at center right edge; a 1½ in. tear above the signature. Scuffs at bottom left and right hand corners; 2 associated scuffs behind the sitter's head; a 4 in. scuff below the horizon line. In generally good condition.
