Catalogue Note

The accompanying Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirms that this wristwatch was manufactured in 1929 and sold on December 5th, 1936. The Extract further confirms the dial configuration of applied gold numerals at 3, 9 and 12 o'clock.

Production of reference 448 began in 1935 and ceased around 1956. A rare reference, the model is slightly smaller than the standard calatrava reference 96. The dial of this wristwatch is known by collectors as the 'telephone dial', with its unusual configuration of numerals.
