REFERENCE 565

Production of reference 565 began in 1938 and is favoured for its large size water-resistant type case. The current lot is an exceptional example of the model, bearing a superb two-tone dial and a steel case that retains excellent definition despite its age.

F. BORGEL

Patek Philippe used the case maker F. Borgel to manufacture the case of this wristwatch. Borgel is arguably the most famous manufacturer of water-resistant type cases with screw-down backs and was used by Patek Philippe for other famous references such as the much admired reference 1463 chronograph.
