Description

  • Oyster, circa 1955, ref.6034; a stainless steel chronograph wristwatch with registers
  • diameter 36mm
nickel lever movement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic compensation balance, silvered dial, applied faceted triangular numerals, three engine turned subsidiary dials for constant seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, outer scales in blue for telemeter and black for tachometer, circular Oyster case with polished chamfered bezel, screw-down crown and case back, case, dial and movement signed, with a steel Rolex buckle.

Catalogue Note

It is interesting to note that the three-register Oyster chronographs made before the introduction of the Daytona were manufactured for short periods of time. New references were introduced in relatively quick succession to one another, these included the 5034, 6034, 6234 and 6238. As a consequence, production numbers for these chronographs were 

comparatively
