The accompanying Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirms that this wristwatch was manufactured in 1963 and sold on August 21st, 1963.
Production of reference 2278 began in the 1940s and ceased around 1958. Only 5 examples in pink gold are publicly known and, to the best of our knowledge, the present piece has never been offered at auction.
