Catalogue Note

The accompanying Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives confirms that this wristwatch was made in 1951 and sold on March 6th the following year.

Production of reference 2441 began in 1948 and ceased around 1955. Examples in pink gold are rare and less than 20 examples are publicly known. The unusual case design is very similar to the base of the Eiffel Tower, hence the name by which it is popularly known. The classic styling of the case led Patek Philippe to re-issue the design in 1997 as a limited commemorative edition.
