Catalogue Note
The Ellipse model was launched by Patek Philippe in 1968 under reference number 3548. Reference 3748 replaced the 3548 in 1976 and used the calibre 215 (28800 oscillations), instead of calibre 23-300 (19800 oscillations). Patek Philippe manufactured reference 3748 for approximately a decade, the model was discontinued around 1987.
