18k, damascened nickel lever movement, 53 jewels, some jewels carried in screwed gold chatons, mono-metallic compensation balance, precision regulator, finely engraved balance cock, silvered dial, eccentric dial for hours and minutes with applied roman and lozenge shaped numerals, adjacent subsidiary dial for seconds, large twin apertures for date, circular case with polished down-turned lugs and chamfered bezel, the band with pusher for date change, glazed screwed down back, case, dial and movement signed, with an 18k pink gold Lange buckle.
Catalogue Note
The 'Lange 1' represents the centrepiece of wristwatch production by A. Lange & Söhne and was one of the first four models introduced by the company when they recommenced their production after a 50 year absence.
