Jan de Maere has seen this painting first hand and confirms it to be by La Fabrique.
La Fabrique is an artist about whom little is known. He studied under André Bouge in Namur and later traveled to Rome and Paris. In 1662 he is recorded in Liège around 1669 and remained there until his death.
